b) Where's their industry credentials and track record? Have they been published in respected trading industry publications, and spoken at traders' Expos? (I've been a featured trader at many expos and thousands have seen my articles).
c) are they making false profitability claims, or otherwise saying all you have to do is mindlessly push a button or follow overly-simplistic signals? Many forex vendors are just opportunistic unproven "bs artists", so don't buy their stuff.
Unfortunately the fx education industry is largely unregulated, so scams abound.
Tip: Just because they have a slick-looking websitedoesn't mean their courses are any good. All it means is that their "hired help" graphics designers made a fancy site — NOT that they can actually trade, or teach you how to successfully trade. Heck even my gardener could hire a graphic designer to make a forex site like so many others did, and also claim to be a forex pro (he's not, and neither are many of the others whose forex sites you see online)....
Here's the TRUTH about some of the common "BS" Forex courses being peddled online:
If they did, the owners would simply program them to automatically make the system programmers a fortune. The ONLY people making a fortune from the fake forex robot programs are the "shovel sellers" who hawk them — not traders. The truth is that trading is a skill that must be learned.
Greedy marketers hawking grossly overpriced forex cds or dvds. You've probably gotten the flood of emails; they sucker unlucky traders into paying up $1,800 or more (some even add monthly fees!) for unproven systems by internet marketers who are not genuine traders. Don't waste your money on them.
If it really worked then don't you think the software programmers would just TRADE with it to make a fortune? Their slick ads mislead people.
What WORKS is to learn how to actually trade, using your brain and pattern recognition skills. There's a work ethic and focus involved. No surprise.
It seems that lately there's a lot of "courses" and software plugins being hawked online by people with ZERO credibility... heck most haven't even been in business more than a couple of years. Quite honestly, this system probably isn't ideal for everyone in the world who wants to learn how to trade forex. After training thousands of traders via DaytradingUniversity.com since 1999, I realize that my "thinking person's" approach to trading isn't perfect for everyone.
In fact, here's a quick checklist to help you make your decision:
If you're the kind of person who expects "instant profits" 100% of the time, and believes that you can (and should) be able to 'make money in your sleep' using automated robots or software, then sorry but Forex Firepower is probably not for you. Some thinking is needed.
If you don't want to take at least 15-30 quick minutes looking at charts for specific signals before putting on a trade, then you may want to pass on this. Some small effort is needed.
And if you think you're automatically 'entitled' to win trading the spot fx, and have a mindset that the market owes you something, then you should skip it. Personal responsibility is also needed. That goes for life in general, too.
